Yesterday was crazy at work. I'll spare you the details, but essentially it was just people being unhelpful. I suppose that's something that happens in every job, and sometimes they can't help it. I just hate it when I end up being the least helpful one because I don't know the answer to a question. Anyway, that's why I couldn't post yesterday. Today has been mildly busy. I'm ready to be done for the day. Or I'm just ready to start knitting. I tell you, the Ishbel Shawl by Ysolda Teague is so addicting! I started it Monday and I'm almost done with it.
I had a thought today about yarn. Knitters, crocheters, etc. love it...and it's a piece of string. We fawn over yarn, fondle it, pet it, caress it. But I notice I love yarn more in it's unmade form, than in its made up form. Don't get me wrong, I love it any which way. And I've always known I like the process of making something always a lot better than trying to design it myself when it comes to certain things. Maybe it's a good time to exercise my designing skills...it's always a good time to do that, but especially now when I'm in this mindset.
What do you think about yarn? Do you have a favorite fiber? Which part of the making process do you like best?
Until next week, my friends.
